Handmade and numbered, each skein has a length of 8 meters and a weight of 5 grams, 3 grams more than the cotton skein. The core of the thread is silver, bathed in 24-carat gold. It comes in a beautiful embossed box with a DMC history book and some authentic reproductions of cross stitch patterns drawn from the DMC Archives, dating back to the second half of the 19th century. Each box has its guarantee certificate that together with a numbered card guarantee its authenticity. A special edition for collectors and embroiderers limited edition.
It is made by hand in our historic factory in Alsace (France). 1746 is the year that DMC was born and 17460 is the number of skeins of gold that will be traded around the world. Not one more, not one less. Number 1 will be kept in the DMC museum fund in France.
